El Ermitano

El Ermitano stands for traditionally manufactured products of Spanish origin. The name El Ermitano (“The Hermit”) was chosen to symbolize the dedication and knowledge that characterizes the company’s production.

The brand was established in 1940, beginning operations in a small delicatessen shop in Catalonia, northeastern Spain. Production remains in the same region today but utilizes modern facilities with complete traceability. The company maintains certifications in ISO, BRC, and IFS standards, and is an approved Serrano ham producer.
